Group Facilities & Session Times

Facilities

At Thornton Rose we are very lucky to have the use of 2 outdoor schools and an indoor arena which can be used all year round for RDA sessions. We also have an independent stable block and tack room, within the stable block we have a volunteer room for meetings and refreshments. There is a disabled toilet on the yard, and ample car parking.

We have a static caravan which we use as our rider reception, and our mounting ramp is incorporated within the decking area.

We are fortunate to have a selection of woodland walks for the riders to experience the sights sounds and aromas associated with the various seasons. There is always something happening on the farm and the riders have a great time going out and watching what’s going on.

Rider Reception

Session Times

We meet every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between 9.30am and 1.30pm.

The lessons and hacks consist of 30 minute sessions starting at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.15pm.

We currently have 41 riders who benefit greatly from their half hourly sessions.Since introducing a third session on Saturday we have been able to offer 4 additional places to some of the children on our waiting list.

Every session is structured to meet the needs of the group involved. All of our instructors think about the individual rider and alot of the time we have a few things going on in one session according to their personal needs and capabilities.

If you think you or someone in your care would benefit from being a rider with our group then please get in touch using the link on the first page

Lynne & Sharon on Ringo & Bobby respectively
